:: UPDATE - NEW LOCATION & WEBSITE ::

It is with great pride that I announce the setting up of my VERY OWN massage practice in the heart of Sydney's CBD! I have been working very hard this past year (hence, the lack of posts - sorry about that!) to get this new undertaking started, & now all that hard work has come to fruition!

My new practice is located at:

Suite 603 (Suite 3, Level 6)
Agriculture House
195 Macquarie St
SYDNEY NSW 2000 Australia

I am currently awaiting set up of the electronic facilities, but once these are up & running, I will be able to process EFTPOS & credit card payments, as well as Health Fund rebate claims on the spot. (Until then, however, I will still be accepting cash payments & issuing receipts that you can manually claim through your Health Fund.)

My hours at the new practice will be:

M-W, F (9am - 7pm)
Th (10am - 8pm)

In addition to the new practice, I have created an official website which will eventually replace this blog. For the next couple months or so, I will post snippets of my news & blogs here on Blogger, with links to the full stories & articles to direct you to my website. I know this may seem like a lot of unnecessary work, but the aim is to begin to drive traffic from this site to my official site, and eventually shut the Blogger site down. (So if you would like to subscribe to this blog, then please subscribe to my RSS Feed on the new website by clicking the button on the Blog page.)

What all of this means, of course, is that I am no longer available for consultations at City Phyisotherapy & Sports Injury Centre (MLC Centre), nor at Urban Healing (Newtown). Whilst I learned a lot & enjoyed my time at these practices, it is time for me to move on to "bigger & better things", so to speak! I hope you will join me!

Be sure to visit www.jlambmassage.com for more information on rates, booking policies, etc., as well as to request a booking via the Internet!

:: Update ::

I hope this update finds everyone settling into 2012 nicely. It is the beginning of autumn here in Sydney, and as such, I felt the need to do a little bit of housekeeping:

Firstly, I would like to announce that I am taking limited bookings for Sundays at Urban Healing! Sunday bookings must be made in advance, as this is not my rostered time to have the clinic for my use, and I must check that the treatment room will be available. Of course, I am still available all day Friday until late, as per my usual schedule. Ring my mobile on 0405 792 425 to make a booking, or alternatively, email me at jlambmassage@gmail.com.

Secondly, I would like to apologise for the long wait of blog articles! These past several months have been very busy for me, and I just haven't had a chance to write/finish any articles. However, rest assured that I do have several articles in the works! I will post notification of finished articles on both Twitter and Facebook, so click the links on the right-hand side to connect with my profiles and follow me!

:: Update ::

It is so nice to be back at Urban Healing doing massage, after being away for a over month due to an operation I had to have on my hip to repair an acetabular labral tear. I'm happy to say the arthroscopic operation went well - my surgeon is very happy! So now I'm undergoing a rigorous physiotherapy exercise regime to get my core stability & leg strength back after being on crutches for nearly 3 weeks!

For anyone wishing to book in for massage in the near future, I will be taking appointments today & next Friday (9 Dec & 16 Dec); I will be away for 2 weeks after that, returning to Urban Healing on Friday, 6 January 2012, and back to my usual schedule of every Friday, 8.30am - 8.00pm. If you are in Sydney & would like a booking, please ring 0405 792 425. Remember: Bookings are necessary!

I will be continuing my articles on stretching in the new year, as well as other health-based articles. I'm thinking of writing an article on Manual Lymphatic Drainage. Going through an operation has made me realise just how important a well-functioning lymphatic system is to the body's health & well-being! Manual Lymphatic Drainage is a great way to promote good lymphatic flow & body detoxification, especially after an operation requiring the use of a general anaesthetic. It may also help to rejuvenate the body after too much food and treats leaves a person feeling tired and bloated. If you're feeling a bit sluggish after this holiday season, why not book in for a 30min Manual Lymphatic Drainage session? (Your body will thank you for it!)
